The Spirit with Our Spirit, C.S.

I came from a Buddhist family and became a Christian in a denomination when I was about 11 years old. For many years, my belief was simply that the Lord Jesus was the only God sitting high above and one day we, His believers, would go to heaven and live in the golden city--New Jerusalem.

One day, I came to the local church. My eyes were opened wide through reading many publications by Witness Lee, and my belief in the Lord became deeper and more practical. One of the most touching points was that God is Spirit and we have a human spirit to contact Him and enjoy Him today.

Our spirits were originally dead but were made alive by the Spirit of God. John 3:6 says, “that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” In the Old Testament, only the high priest could enter into the Holy of Holies in the tabernacle once a year to meet with God. But today, in our spirit as the dwelling place of God (Eph. 2:22), He is so available to us. We can enjoy sweet and intimate fellowship with Him at any time and in any place. Through such a daily enjoyment of the Lord in my spirit, I am being sanctified, renewed, and transformed with His divine life, and together with other believers we are being built up as the Body of Christ. Praise the Lord!
